Saint Francis of Assisi Parish
Presents Gary Montgomery
Wednesday, May 23 - 10:00 - 11:30
"IT'S FUN TO BE CATHOLIC!!"
A Pep talk for Catholics

Join your friends and neighbors for a faith-filled morning bundled with energy, fun, and inspiration. Take home new ideas about living and sharing our Catholic Faith! Get ready to give away the "Good News" ... "It's Fun to be Catholic!"

Gary is a member of St. Bernadette Parish in Louisville, KY where he taught Religious Education each Sunday to 8th graders for over 25 years. The Archdiocese of Louisville presented him with the Roncalli Award which recognizes excellence in catechesis. His presentation style is a combination of motivation, inspiration, storytelling, fun and growth in our Catholic Faith. He has presented Missions, Retreats, and Inspirational presentations at Churches throughout Kentucky and beyond.

Gary has authored two books. His most recent is "It's Fun to Be Catholic!" which was inspired by the young men and women he taught each Sunday...and the many lessons they taught him about the Good News of Jesus Christ. His first book is titled "I Can Play--A Philosophy for Life!" Both are inspirational offerings. Gary retired after a 35 year career as a TV Sportscaster. During this time he founded his speaking and training business and for twenty years has addressed audiences all over the U.S. plus Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, and the country of Panama.

Gary is excited to join St. Francis of Assisi parishioners to share the joy, hope, peace, and the fun of his Catholic Faith and help us all deepen our relationship with Jesus Christ.

Parish Mission
Guided by the love of Jesus Christ and in the spirit of our patron Saint Francis of Assisi, we seek to deepen our understanding of our Catholic faith and to bear witness with other churches to peace and justice through social outreach.

We also desire to provide a welcoming environment to all who come to worship God in word and sacrament and to live a spirituality that draws others to our spiritual home.
