This Christmastime,St. Francis’ Social Action Ministry will sponsor Christmas Food Boxes of Joy for select elderly residents living in subsidized or public housing in Crossville.
The parish will provide food for the box and we hope that individual parishioners will become sponsors for one or more persons.
Sponsors will be provided the resident’s name, address, and phone number (if they have one). You may add to the box niceties such as homemade desserts or Christmas gifts and deliver the box to the person’s home around Christmastime.
Elderly residents living in public or subsidized housing experience more than financial hardship. Loneliness is common fact of their lives. A visit from a friendly parishioner may help them with this struggle. Please consider volunteering for this worthwhile act of mercy this holiday season.
