During this holy season of Lent, the Social Action Committee is again collecting
non-food items to be distributed to the poor through the area food banks that St. Francis supports.
We are in need of paper products, cleaning supplies, and personal hygiene products.
Many of the poor in Cumberland County rely on food stamps and food banks to provide for their families. Regrettably, SNAP (Food Stamp program) does not pay for non-food essentials that are necessary for healthy living. Donation suggestions include:
toilet paper
paper towels
dishwashing soap
laundry detergent
disinfectant spray
liquid hand soap, bar soap
shampoo
toothpaste, and toothbrushes.
Donations may be placed in the designated bins located at each of the church entrances. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
