We are privileged to have Father Bernard Campbell, C.S.P. here at St. Francis for these three months. His background is rich in presenting parish missions. This will fit in with Saint Francis’ Stephen Ministry plan to present a program to the congregation concerning the lack of faith that is becoming so pronounced in the Church. We need to be models for our children/grandchildren. Father has agreed to speak and answer questions for us at a three-day session.
Each day will have a different topic:
What about YOU is breathtaking? Who impacted your faith life?
How has the Church helped you to become hopeful, courageous and truthful?
How can “we stand in awe at the dignity of the human person?” ~ St. John Paul II
It is our job to mesh Christianity with reality. After all, THE CHILDREN ARE WATCHING.
Father Campbell will first introduce his topics at the weekend Masses on September 24th and 25th. Talks will be in the church on September 26th, 27th and 28th. from 9:30 to 11:30 AM with Q & A at the end. They will be livestreamed.
We have added 2 evening sessions in order to accommodate those parishioners who aren’t able to attend the morning discussions. The evening sessions will be Monday, September 26th and Wednesday, September 28th from 6-8 PM. They will be held in the meeting room off of Sheehan Hall.
While each talk stands alone in its content, it would be most beneficial to attend all three. This series of discussions will be open to all parishioners. Hopefully, we are all concerned about our family’s faith and welcome God’s Spirit.
