Mission StatementThe Council of Catholic Women of St. Francis of Assisi, working together with the National Council of Catholic Women and the Knoxville Diocesan Council of Catholic Women, proclaims willingness to follow the footsteps of the Lord with prayers and good works within the parish and elsewhere, in collaboration with like-minded groups, to deepen the Catholic faith and commitment to God.

We would love to see you!The Saint Francis of Assisi parish goal is to become more CHRIST-centered. We aim to be a school for saints and a family of families. In order to welcome everyone, new and established, and to enrich all of the ladies of the parish, the SFA CCW, working with the NCCW and KDCCW, praises the Lord with good works and prayer. We work with other groups in the parish and in the community.

2019 NCCW Our Lady of Good Counsel AwardThe Council of Catholic Women (CCW) is comprised of women of all ages who share the common desire to love and serve GOD and others, to enhance and share their spirituality, and to be effective and loving leaders. We are Catholic sisters and mothers, single and widowed, married and never married. We are Catholic women in the workplace and homemakers, women who bake and women on iPhones. We are Catholic women in book clubs and bridge groups, and tennis and golf tournaments. We are gardeners and crafters and women who sew. We are the CCW of St Francis of Assisi Parish, Fairfield Glade. Bring the gift of you and come join us.

St. Francis of Assisi Council of Catholic Women (CCW) is formed under the direction of the National Council of Catholic Women. Our mission is carried out through the work of three commissions.
Spirituality Commission: Exploring the poverty of spirituality
- The Spirituality Commission reinforces and supports service to the Church and to the world through discipleship and spiritual growth, and encourages legislative advocacy at the local, state, and national levels, guided by Catholic social teaching.
Service Commission: Finding ways to combat poverty
- The Service Commission engages CCW members, and all people, in working to address the needs and concerns of their individual communities and supports and enhances family life within the Church and society world-wide (CRS, Cross Catholic)
Leadership Commission:
- Building leadership to advance our mission to be the Catholic woman’s voice in our world today. The Leadership Commission provides organization development, opportunities for training, as well as public relations resources and publications to strengthen leadership.

Monthly Meetings: Meetings are generally held September through May on the second Wednesday of each month after 8:00 Mass.
Our annual Rummage Sale takes place in the Spring and the Annual Bake Sale in early Summer. Together with the silent auction at our Christmas Party, these fun activities raise around $12,000 to support sponsorship of a Knoxville diocesan seminarian and about 20 charitable organizations.
