The Social Action Ministry is distributing back-to-school backpacks for under-privileged children residing in Crossville public housing.
If you would like to help, please pick up an empty backpack from the Narthex, after weekend Masses, June 24th -25th, fill it with school supplies, and return it to the church by July 16th.
Supplies needed include spiral notebooks, loose leaf paper, pens, pencils, crayons, markers, rulers, erasers, pencil boxes, scissors, glue sticks, small assignment notebooks, and pocket planners. Other useful items might include socks, water bottles and healthy snacks.
If you choose not to fill a backpack but would still like to contribute, monetary donations are very welcome and we will fill the backpack for you! Place your donation in an envelope marked “Back Pack Outreach” and place in the offertory basket or bring to the parish office.
Thank you and God bless you,
St. Francis Social Action Ministry
