I pray this card finds you and your family well. During this most joyous time of year, I wanted to send an update on the Kobonal Mission, which you have so generously supported this year through financial contributions and perpetual prayer. This past week, the school children received ‘Box of Joy’ gifts, which they were all very excited about! The structure for the warehouse will arrive from Cap-Haitien by the end of the month. The fish farm is thriving, as are the gardens and various animals being raised in the area. Security around the plateau and Mission is very good and we rejoice in the continued protection of the Mission - it is safe. As it stands, I plan on attending the Confirmation that is scheduled for May with the Bishop, where one hundred students will be confirmed in Christ. For the first semester of 2025, we anticipate celebrating fifty baptisms and catechizing two hundred- fifty First Communion candidates, who are eager to receive Jesus Christ for the very first time. Though there are numerous blessings to celebrate, I humbly ask for your continued prayers for the Haitian people and their constant struggle with the area’s political unrest. Our brothers and sisters need our prayers to find the strength to step into the Light of Christ, defeat poverty, seize the heart of the nation, and build a brighter future.
Together we will make a difference.
Your servant,
Father Glenn Meaux
