Christ FollowersUnited for a Positive ChangeThe Social Action Ministry is putting together a team of parishioners to volunteer at the We Are One Community Event on Saturday, August 26th, from 7am—1pm at the Cumberland County Community Complex in Crossville (next to the fairgrounds).
This is a one-day event that serves the needs of the poor in our community. Fresh food, groceries, haircuts, family portraits, shoes, and many other items and services are being offered free of charge to people in need.
Volunteers for the event come from Crossville churches—many denominations—in an ecumenical community outreach to the poor. St. Francis is registered as one of the volunteer groups and they need our help. Organizers expect to serve thousands of people at the event and volunteers are needed for all services that will be offered.
