The heart of a parish is the Eucharist, but the parish family is the body that makes it a unique and vibrant community with an exciting parish life. |

A sense of community is important to any parish. The Parish Life Ministry of St. Francis of Assisi strives to create an atmosphere that is inclusive, welcoming, and engaging. Our goal is to promote parish unity by offering diverse activities, giving any parish member the opportunity to participate in some aspect of parish life that they find interesting or fun. Through our various subcommittees, we work to build a parish family spirit and improve Christian life in our Christ-Centered community. Please acquaint yourself with the variety of services that make up our "Parish Life". |
The Social Life Ministry plans and implements various gatherings and activities designed for parishioners to come together and enjoy each other's company. Events may include dinners, golf outings, wine and cheese parties and other events that may be requested by our pastor or parishioners. Any parishioner may be part of this ministry.
Looking forward to an exciting new year with several events planned. Please refer to the weekly bulletin and our Events Page for upcoming events.

For many years, Saint Francis has provided a luncheon for the bereaved family and friends after the funeral. After meeting with the funeral coordinator, a family member meets with a representative of this committee to set a menu for the luncheon. There are several choices available to them. Parish volunteers then provide set up for the luncheon, serve the meal, and clean up after; eliminating this burden from the family in their time of grief.
Each month two volunteers act as coordinators and handle the preparations for any funeral luncheons that may be scheduled that month. Training is provided to all coordinators and a list of volunteers is available to form a team of helpers for every luncheon. The system works well and monthly assignments are made in advance for the entire year.
All parishioners are welcome to volunteer for this valuable ministry. We are always in need of monthly coordinators, set up helpers, servers, those willing to help clean up and bakers to provide desserts.

This ministry sews blankets to provide prayer, solace and comfort to our parishioners, their family members, or a friend who expresses a need for prayer and blessings during a difficult time in their life. The blankets are small and sewn by the ladies of the parish. They are blessed by our pastor. |
