The mission of the Social Action Committee of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church is to raise the consciousness of our parishioners to the needs and suffering of others. By practicing the Corporal Acts of Mercy, we serve God by serving others. The Social Action Committee cooperates with other St. Francis ministries and community organizations to build stewardship in ministries that have a direct impact on the needs of others, particularly the indigent. This includes working closely with local charities as well as supporting local and worldwide Catholic social justice programs that assist the poor. We encourage parishioners to work in areas identified by the committee that directly benefit others.
